Two ways into the patient portal
This page lets you try both of them. Nothing you do here affects the live website, no money is taken, and no real patient is contacted. Use your own email address so you can receive the sign-in code.
Get started
You answer a few questions about what you are looking for. When you finish, your account already exists. You are not asked to invent a password and you do not have to wait for an invitation email before you can look around.
- Takes: about a minute
- You will need: an email address you can open now
- You will not need: a password, an invitation, or anything from us
Log in
You type your email address and we email you a six-digit code. You type the code in and you are through. There is no password to remember and nothing to reset.
- Takes: about twenty seconds
- You will need: the same email you registered with
- The code: lasts five minutes, then ask for a new one
What happens when you press "Start the questions"
- A short set of questions appears. Answer them the way a patient would.
- You are asked for your name, email and mobile. This is the moment your account is created. Nothing is emailed to you and there is no password to choose.
- A bar appears at the bottom of the screen saying your account is ready, with a button to sign in.
- Press it, type your email, and we send you a six-digit code.
- Type the code. You land inside the portal, signed in.
What happens when you press "Log in"
- A Primal Zone sign-in screen appears. It asks only for your email address.
- We email you a six-digit code. It usually arrives in a few seconds.
- Type the code in. You land inside the portal.
- If you were trying to reach a particular page, you are taken to that page rather than dumped on the home page.
The one thing worth noticing
At no point are you asked to create a password, accept an invitation, or wait for anything. That is the whole point of the change. On the current portal, a patient has to accept an invitation email and then invent a password of at least twelve characters before they can see a single page. Roughly one in four patients we invite never get through that step.
If something does not look right
| It says you cannot see a page because you are not signed in | That is correct behaviour. Those pages are private. Press Log in, and after the code you will be taken to the page you were trying to reach. |
| It says you are not eligible, or will not let you in | Your email address is not on the approved list for this test. That is the safety net working. Tell Mick which email you used and he can add it. |
| The code has not arrived | Look in your junk folder first. On this test system the code is sent by the trial sign-in software, so it arrives from no-reply@auth0user.net rather than from a Primal Zone address, and junk filters often catch it the first time. The subject mentions Primal Zone and a code. Codes last five minutes, so if it has been longer, ask for a new one. |
| The email is not from Primal Zone | Correct, and expected on this test site. The real version sends from a Primal Zone address such as signin@primalzone.com.au. Swapping the sender is a settings change, not a rebuild, and it is not part of what we are asking you to judge here. |
| The web address looks wrong | Also expected. This test site lives on dev-auth.primalzone.com.au and the sign-in screen on dev-login.primalzone.com.au, deliberately separate from the live website so nothing here can affect real patients. |
| You want to try it again from scratch | Press Sign out at the top of any page. You can sign back in with a new code whenever you like. |
| The payment step does not work | Expected. Payment is deliberately switched off in this test. It is not part of what we are showing you. |
What we are asking you
Only this: is this easier than what a patient goes through today, and are you happy for us to build it properly? Everything you can see here is a working prototype, not a finished product.
